BHIM pars 3 million download. iOS Version to be released.

BHIM, the payment interface app for UPI(Unified payment Interface) pars 3 million downloads in just five days since it was launched. with over 500,000 transactions done since launch. Amitabh Kant, who is the CEO of Niti Aayog, claimed through twitter that the app has catered almost 500,000 transaction till date. He has also confirmed that the iOS version and multilingual version will be rolled out within 10 more days.

Presently the BHIM app supports only in Hindi and English and is only available on Android based devices.

It is almost 54 days over after the strong financial move of demonetization from the Indian Government and thereby promoting cashless economy in the whole country.

A lot of private based app like PayTm, Freecharge has benefited a lot from this move. The online payment app of most of the nationalized banks (SBI Buddy, ICICI Pockets etc) are almost into the completion to fight the deficit of cash and thereby by supporting hassle free online wallet trend.

BHIM app was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, and it is named BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) after Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. The app is already raced to the top charts of Google Play Store in India just days after the launch. The BHIM has been developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). They were yet to release the iOS and windows version of the app.
