After hearing the short, sweet but most awaited tweet from Samsung, the gadget world was later startled but mesmerized by the roar from the house of Sony.

Challenging the latest note edition of Samsung, Sony unleashed it’s so called “Big brother” into the market in the name of Xperia Z1. The so called “hot shot” gadget comes Qualcomm’s latest beast Snapdragon 800 quad core processor, clocked at 2.2GHz and dazzles with a 5-inch FULL-HD TRILUMINOS display which is powered by Sony Mobile BRAVIA engine 2. It has also covered the certain extent of mobile photography as it comes with 20.7 MP Exmor RS lenses.

Sony Xperia Z1 was unveiled in IFA Berlin on Wednesday. This product has  been put on the online stores for preorder(Only on Europe).

Let us get a small introduction from the device itself:

Xperia Z1_body

Build & Design:

We found that Z1 is just the successor of Z. The dazzling 5 inch front and back glass body is the centre of attraction. The aluminium casing has given a different quality standard to the device.

When you keep Z and Z1 side by side, you might not find big differences in terms of designing and quality.

But in earlier case we find sharp edges across the Z casing, but Sony has made the edges slightly blunt and provided an elegant feel.

Its dimensions are 144 x 74 x 8.5 mm and weigh around 170g. it is slightly thicker than Z and Samsung S4.

Xperia Z promises better water-proofing than the earlier Z. It has provided better and efficient techniques from the water accident.

Processor & software:

Shielded by glass and metal body, Xperia Z1 is provided with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, clocked at 2.2GHz. It is ok to say that Z1 is the powerful beast.

It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. It’s running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and upgradable. Waiting for Kit-Kat’s action on the device.

The image and video galleries have been edited, and Sony has put in its Music and Video Unlimited streaming apps. But these are paid-for services. Initially  you will get 60 days of music streaming for free as well six free “blockbuster” movies, including “Elysium,” .

The most exciting update to the Z1 is the camera, which now flickers with 20.7 megapixels. That’s a huge leap from the 13 megapixels of its predecessor, but Sony promises that there’s more than just a megapixel leap going on.

The Z1 uses wide angle 27mm f/2.0 G Lens, and Sony says that its Bionz image processor has been tweaked to minimize noise in low-light environments.

The Full HD 5 inch resolution remains the same as Z, although Sony informs that the display has seen an update.

The phone now uses the same Bravia technology found in its high-end TVs that dazzles  rich colours, deep contrast, and pin-sharp clarity.

After the release of Z series , Sony’s ultimate motive has become to provide the best along with luxurious feeling of having a smartphone. For the time being this gadget is available as
