After the success of the high end Xperia Z/ZL and launching the mid range Xperia SP last week, Sony is ready to launch the budget Xperia L. The Xperia L was unveiled on MWC in March. The handset will be available in stores next week for Rs 19,990.
The Sony Xperia L is a lower mid range phone which comes equipped with a powerful 8 megapixel camera. This phone is primarily targeted towards photography enthusiasts. The phone has support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) which allows users to take photos in low light conditions.
The phone will feature a 4.3 inch TFT Display with FWVGA resolution i.e. 854×480 (~228ppi) with scratch resistance. The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor clocked at 1GHz and 1 GB of Ram. Adreno 305 will handle the graphical tasks. A 1,750mAh battery will give a talk time of 9 hours in 3G network
The phone will come pre loaded with the Android 4.1.2 Jellybean. The Xperia L will sport 8 GB of internal memory with expansion support using micro-sd upto 32 GB. Out of the 8GB, approx. 5.8 GB will be available to the user.
With the S4 dual core processor and adreno 305 graphics, the phone will be able to hold its own in its price bracket. So, any one looking for a decent device within Rs 20,000 mark may consider this an option. Also, if you have a flexible budget, consider getting the Xperia SP.
