Google honours swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler through their Doodle. He made important discoveries in vast fields.
Born on April 15 1707 Leonhard Euler was undoubtedly a pioneer in mathematics. He made important contributions in the field of graph theory and infinitesimal calculus. He had his education from University of Basel.
Euler left St. Petersburg on 19 June 1741 and lived in Berlin for 25 years where he wrote over 380 articles. In 1766 Euler returned back to St. Petersburg Academy and spent rest of his life. On 18 September 1783, he died of a brain hemorrhage.
